Steel Horseshoes: Sizes, Clips and Wholesale Selection
Choose an established pattern or develop the details your customers need. We manufacture steel horseshoes for distributors, farrier suppliers and equestrian brands, with front, hind, clipped and clipless options.

Pattern before size
A Range With Clear Starting Points
RR, RS, RSN, RT and RRM are separate pattern families in Q235 steel. You can begin with the family closest to your customers, then build the front-and-hind size mix around real demand.
A familiar size label never replaces the shoe outline, section, clips and nail-hole geometry.
Clipless foundation
Front and hind references from 000 to 3 for a straightforward clipless range.
Clipped patterns
Front and hind choices from 3×0 to 4, with the clip configuration tied to the selected pattern.
Handed hind options
One-clip fronts and separate left/right two-clip hind references from 4×0 to 4.
Extended size run
One-clip front and hind shoes covering catalogue sizes 2 to 8.
Paired references
A distinct R1M/P to R5M/P range that should be ordered by its own specification.
Comparable data
The Size Number Is Only the Beginning
Two size-0 front shoes can have different outside dimensions, section widths and finished weights. We keep those values visible so your quotation compares the product you intend to sell.
On a small screen, swipe the table sideways to see all columns.
Use dimensions and pattern details to avoid substituting a different shoe under the same size label.
Separate order lines
Front and hind proportions can differ even when the nominal size is the same.
Complete design details
Clip count, position and nail-hole geometry stay connected to the selected pattern.
Stable product references
Your approved version, size and finish remain identifiable for replenishment.
Manufacturing capability
Forging Connects Shape With Repeat Production
We form steel horseshoes with tooling suited to the pattern, then complete the nail holes, clips, surface work and inspection required by the approved version. The process is built around the finished specification, not around a generic claim that every forged shoe is the same.
Tooling establishes the principal outline and section.
Holes, crease and clips follow the selected design.
Surface and protection match the agreed product.
The accepted reference carries into bulk production.

Control before packing
Checks Follow the Features You Buy
We connect the batch with its drawing and accepted sample. The useful checks are the ones that distinguish your product and keep repeat orders consistent.
Outline and section
Overall dimensions, section width and thickness are checked at defined locations.
Working details
Nail holes, crease and clips are compared with the selected configuration.
Identity and packing
Model, size, front/hind version and quantity remain clear through packing.
Standard and custom supply
Choose the Shortest Route to the Right Product
You do not need a new mold for every purchasing project. We help separate an established model, a targeted modification and a new design so the quotation reflects the work your range actually needs.
Established pattern
Build your size mix from a proven family and focus customization on finish or packaging.
Selected change
Adjust the section, clips, holes or another defined feature around a clear reference.
New development
Move from drawing or sample through tooling, sample approval and bulk production.
Turn the selected pattern into a wholesale size list
Once the pattern suits your customers, list each size, front or hind version, clip option and quantity. Keep the matching nail reference alongside the shoe. This gives us a clear basis for checking the range and packing.
If only part of the model needs changing, mark that feature on a drawing or sample. The UK distributor project shows how a five-size steel range was refined through two sample rounds. Minimum quantities and development requirements are confirmed for your selected models.
Buyer FAQ
Steel Horseshoe Buying FAQ
Resolve model, nail and size-list details before comparing wholesale offers.
Can the same size number be substituted across steel ranges?
Not on the size number alone. Compare outside dimensions, section, weight, front or hind pattern, clips and nail-hole geometry. For example, the RR 0F and RS 0-F references shown above have different dimensions and sections despite sharing a nominal size.
Should the matching nail be specified with the shoe?
Yes. Keep the intended nail reference with the selected horseshoe model. Nail length alone does not establish correct seating in the shoe. Review the proposed shoe-and-nail combination through the sample process, with final selection and fitting assessed by a qualified farrier.
How should a mixed-size steel order be listed?
Give each model, size, front or hind pattern and clip option its own line, with the quantity and selling unit. Mark any finish or packing changes separately. We confirm minimum quantities for those selected items rather than treating the whole size list as one interchangeable product.
Can an existing steel model be modified for my range?
Submit the base model or sample and mark the exact features to change. A targeted modification and a new design may need different engineering and sample work. Review the custom horseshoe development route before committing to a revised range.
