Start your design brief with a sample reference
These stirrup samples show different side profiles, proportions and decorative details. A reference helps us understand the look you want, while a drawing defines the dimensions and changes. Mark the features you want to keep or change so we can review the project without relying on appearance alone.
Give the first review a clear reference
Send a marked drawing or photographs with measurements, rather than a description such as ‘a little wider’. Include the reference model, material requirement, target quantity and intended sales market. Mark the dimensions that matter most, and identify details that are still open for discussion.

Turn tread details into specific changes
Tread width, surface pattern and edge radius need separate decisions. A wider tread does not automatically establish better grip, and a different texture does not establish a tested performance result. We review the physical changes with you and agree how the sample will be evaluated.
Learn from a two-round stirrup project
In a 2025 project for a German equestrian brand, we revised an adult metal stirrup from a reference sample. The changes included about 3 mm of additional tread width, revised tread texture, rounded edges and logo placement. The first sample led to further changes to the logo area and tread pattern before the second sample was approved.

Agree tooling and testing before sampling
Confirm whether the requested change uses existing tooling or needs new work. Put tooling charges, ownership, sample rounds and revision costs into the project agreement. For load-bearing or moving structures, also agree the test method, responsible party and acceptance criteria; appearance approval alone is not enough.

Build the packaging around the approved pair
Show us your label artwork and preferred pair presentation. We can review logo visibility, protection between the two stirrups and the pack dimensions alongside the product sample. Settle the actual included items and packing method before approving the final version.
Release one agreed production version
Bring the final drawing, sample reference, material, finish, marking and packaging into one approval record. Any later change should identify the affected detail and the replacement version. This makes it easier for your team and ours to work from the same instructions.
